Lexuria Legal Conclave on Data Privacy, Arbitration & POSH

Lexuria Lawyers LLP successfully organised a high-level legal conclave in New Delhi, bringing together legal professionals, corporate leaders, compliance officers, HR professionals, and policy stakeholders to deliberate on some of the most critical and fast-evolving areas of law — data privacy, commercial law with a focus on arbitration, and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH).

The conclave served as a focused knowledge-sharing platform addressing the intersection of law, governance, and organisational compliance in an increasingly regulated and dynamic legal environment.

Purpose and Vision of the Conclave

Speaking on the objective of the event, Madhumita Bhattacharjee, Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India and Founder of Lexuria Lawyers LLP, emphasised the need for continuous dialogue between legal practitioners and decision-makers to navigate emerging regulatory frameworks, judicial developments, and practical compliance challenges.

The conclave was curated to provide actionable legal insights, encourage informed discussions, and promote best practices for organisations operating in today’s complex legal ecosystem.

Key Focus Areas

1. Data Privacy & Data Protection Compliance

The data privacy session examined India’s evolving data protection regime, with a focus on organisational readiness and compliance preparedness, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, governance frameworks for safeguarding personal data, and the role of internal policies and accountability mechanisms.

The discussion highlighted the growing responsibility of organisations to align legal compliance with robust and sustainable data governance practices.

2. Commercial Law & Arbitration

The arbitration segment explored recent developments shaping dispute resolution in India, including the enforcement of arbitral awards, institutional arbitration and procedural efficiencies, emerging judicial trends impacting commercial disputes, and best practices for effective and time-bound dispute resolution.

Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue on strengthening arbitration as a preferred mechanism for efficient and effective commercial conflict resolution.

3. Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

The POSH session focused on statutory and compliance-driven responsibilities of employers, covering recent judicial interpretations, effective functioning of Internal Committees, employer obligations under the POSH framework, and the importance of building safe, inclusive, and legally compliant workplaces.

The session reinforced the importance of proactive compliance, organisational sensitivity, and robust internal mechanisms in addressing workplace harassment.

A Platform for Collaboration and Compliance Excellence

The conclave reaffirmed Lexuria Lawyers’ commitment to fostering legal awareness, compliance excellence, and informed decision-making across industries. By facilitating meaningful dialogue between law and leadership, the firm continues to contribute constructively to India’s evolving legal and regulatory landscape.
